Texas Yellow Cap Spore Syringe – 10cc
$20.00
Texas Yellow Cap is a classic Psilocybe cubensis genetic descended from wild South Texas cubensis populations. Selected for its distinctive yellow-to-golden cap coloration, TYC preserves a recognizable piece of early American cubensis genetic history.
Product Description
Texas Yellow Cap, commonly abbreviated TYC, is a heritage Psilocybe cubensis variety with roots in wild Texas genetics.
Community records trace TYC to Texas Orange Cap, an earlier line derived from wild P. cubensis collected in Texas. Around 1998, a yellow-capped expression was reportedly isolated and preserved as Texas Yellow Cap.
The genetic is recognized for warm yellow-to-golden caps that broaden with maturity, pale sturdy stems, and traditional cubensis architecture. Unlike albino, leucistic, or unusual spore-color varieties, Texas Yellow Cap retains conventional pigmentation and produces dark purple-brown spores.
Its combination of geographic provenance, phenotype selection, and traditional spore characteristics makes TYC particularly useful for comparative microscopy and genetic research.
About this strain
Texas Yellow Cap is a selected Psilocybe cubensis line descended from wild Texas genetics.
Its commonly reported family history begins with Texas Orange Cap, a variety developed from wild Texas cubensis. Around 1998, a distinctive yellow-capped phenotype was selected from that genetic population and preserved as Texas Yellow Cap.
This makes TYC different from a deliberate hybrid such as Jack Frost. Its identity emerged through phenotype selection within an existing regional genetic line rather than through the intentional crossing of two named parents.
TYC produces conventionally pigmented dark purple-brown spores and retains traditional cubensis morphology, while its bright golden-yellow cap coloration gives the genetic its defining visual characteristic.
