Product Description

Steel Yeti is a modern Psilocybe cubensis hybrid combining Steel Magnolia Rust with Yeti, a well-known member of the True Albino Teacher genetic family.

Its morphology is immediately recognizable. Rather than producing tall, slender fruiting bodies, Steel Yeti develops small, compact structures with thick white stems and proportionally substantial brown caps. The overall shape can appear almost grenade-like: short, dense, and heavily built.

One of its more unusual characteristics appears beneath the cap. The gills can develop pronounced waves and irregular folds rather than maintaining the straighter, more uniform lamellar structure associated with traditional P. cubensismorphology.

Steel Yeti is an interesting example of how hybridization can separate traits inherited from a parent genetic. Although Yeti contributes a true albino genetic background, Steel Yeti retains visible brown cap pigmentation, making its actual phenotype more complex than the Yeti name alone would suggest.

About this strain

Steel Yeti combines:

Steel Magnolia Rust × Yeti

The Yeti side traces into the True Albino Teacher family and is associated with dense pale morphology and reduced visible sporulation. Steel Magnolia Rust contributes a second highly selected genetic background to the cross.

The resulting Steel Yeti phenotype is compact and unmistakably substantial, with short white stems supporting pigmented brown caps. Its grenade-like proportions distinguish it from the more traditional elongated silhouette of many P. cubensis varieties.
Look underneath the cap and another characteristic appears: unusually wavy gills.

Together, its compact proportions, contrasting pigmentation, and irregular reproductive structures make Steel Yeti a particularly interesting genetic for morphological and microscopic comparison.
