Product Description

Magnolia Teacher is a modern Psilocybe cubensis hybrid created by crossing Blue Magnolia Rust with True Albino Teacher (TAT).

The two parents bring very different characteristics to the genetic. Blue Magnolia Rust descends from the Mississippi Blue Magnolia family and is distinguished by its unusual rust-colored spores, while True Albino Teacher contributes its dramatically pale pigmentation and albino genetic background.

The name Magnolia Teacher is therefore more than a creative title—it reflects the genetic’s actual parentage.

This combination makes Magnolia Teacher particularly interesting for microscopy and phenotype research because both sides of its family tree contain unusual pigmentation characteristics. Depending on the selected expression, cap color, overall pigmentation, morphology, and especially spore color can reveal how traits from the two parent lines were inherited.

Strain spotlight

About this strain

Magnolia Teacher combines two recognizable P. cubensis families:

Blue Magnolia Rust × True Albino Teacher

Blue Magnolia Rust traces back to the wild-derived Mississippi Blue Magnolia lineage and became known for an unusual rust-spore mutation rather than the conventional dark purple-brown spores of P. cubensis.

True Albino Teacher represents a completely different pigmentation phenotype, with dramatically reduced pigmentation extending into its reproductive structures.
Crossing the two creates a particularly interesting genetic question: what happens when a rust-spored lineage meets a true albino one?

That makes Magnolia Teacher more than a combination of two names. Its family tree brings together two unusual expressions of pigmentation, making the spores just as interesting as the fruiting bodies.
