Lizard King Spore Syringe – 10cc

Lizard King is a classic Psilocybe cubensis variety traced to a wild collection outside Atlanta, Georgia, by the early Shroomery mycologist known as Lizard King. Its unusual discovery among woodchip bedding and horse manure gives this American genetic one of the more interesting origin stories in classic cubensis history.
Product Description
Lizard King is a classic American Psilocybe cubensis genetic originating from a wild collection in Georgia in the early 2000s. The variety takes its name directly from the citizen mycologist who collected and introduced it to the online mycology community under the handle “Lizard King.”
What makes the original collection particularly interesting is its reported habitat. While wild P. cubensis is strongly associated with dung-rich environments, the original Lizard King specimens were documented growing in an area containing woodchip mulch and horse manure outside Atlanta. Over time, retellings sometimes simplified this into the claim that Lizard King was a “wood-growing cubensis,” but the original account provides a more complicated—and more interesting—ecological picture.
Lizard King retains traditional cubensis morphology, producing warm golden to reddish-brown caps, pale substantial stems, blue bruising, and the dark purple-brown spores characteristic of normally pigmented P. cubensis.
About this strain
Lizard King traces back to a Shroomery member and Georgia mushroom hunter who used the online name Lizard King, or LK. In the early 2000s, LK collected wild Psilocybe cubensis outside Atlanta and subsequently worked with and circulated the genetic within the emerging online mycology community.
Historical discussion describes the original specimens as occurring around woodchip mulch mixed with horse manure—an unusual enough setting that the habitat became part of the genetic's story.
The variety itself remains conventionally pigmented. Its spores produce the dark purple-brown coloration characteristic of P. cubensis, making them useful for comparison with unusual lines such as Golden Halo and true albino genetics such as Jack Frost.
Rather than a modern hybrid created from two named parents, Lizard King represents something increasingly important in a collection filled with selectively bred genetics: a preserved line tracing back to a wild American P. cubensiscollection.
