Jedi Mind Fuck—better known simply as JMF—is a Psilocybe cubensis variety associated with citizen scientist Myco Joe, who is credited within the mycology community with bringing the genetic into circulation in 2009 from wild Georgia material.
JMF retains classic cubensis architecture while often producing substantial fruiting bodies with warm caramel to chestnut-brown caps, pale stems, and blue bruising where tissue is damaged. Its spores retain the conventional dark purple-brown pigmentation associated with P. cubensis.
Some later accounts have suggested a possible relationship between JMF and Z-Strain, but that connection is not as clearly documented as the Myco Joe/Georgia history and should be treated as an alternative theory rather than established parentage.
