Hillbilly Pumpkin Spore Syringe – 10cc
$20.00
Hillbilly Pumpkin is a distinctive Psilocybe cubensis isolation descended from the classic Arkansas Hillbilly lineage. Selected for its unusually large, squat fruiting bodies and broad pumpkin-like caps, HBP has one of the most recognizable silhouettes in modern cubensis genetics.
Product Description
Hillbilly Pumpkin takes the classic Hillbilly genetic and pushes its morphology in an unmistakable direction. This Psilocybe cubensis isolation was selected from the original Hillbilly lineage for its exceptionally large, squat fruiting bodies, thick pale stems, and broad caps that can develop burnt-orange, caramel, and rust-colored tones.
Its ancestry traces back to Hillbilly, a genetic associated with a wild Arkansas collection that entered the mycology community around the late 1990s and early 2000s. Through phenotype selection, the unusually stout, rounded expression was preserved and became known as Hillbilly Pumpkin.
Rather than a separate wild variety or unrelated cross, HBP demonstrates what selective isolation can accomplish within an existing genetic line: identify an extraordinary phenotype, preserve it, and transform that expression into a recognizable genetic of its own.
About this strain
Hillbilly Pumpkin is a selected phenotype of the original Hillbilly Psilocybe cubensis lineage. Hillbilly itself traces back to a wild collection from Arkansas associated with a Mycotopia community member who used the name “Hillbilly.”
HBP was selected for an exaggerated expression of the morphology already present within that lineage. Fruiting bodies can become remarkably squat and substantial, with thick white stems supporting oversized, rounded caps in shades of caramel, burnt orange, and rust.
The “Pumpkin” name comes directly from this distinctive morphology. Mature specimens can become so broad and rounded that their shape and warm coloration resemble small pumpkins—making Hillbilly Pumpkin one of those genetics whose name makes immediate sense once you see the phenotype.
